School Choir and Band

Choir

Choir rehearsals will start Week 2, Thursday 14/02/19 at 8:00 to 8:45am. All Year 4-6 students are welcome. Students will be given an information note regarding performances and what is required of the choir.

Junior Choir

Junior Choir is a fun choir for all students from Years 1-3. Choir rehearsals will happen on Fridays at lunchtime, after they have eaten.

Band

Band auditions begin on Friday 8/02/19 before school from 8:00am-8:30am and after school from 3:00pm-3:30pm. Auditions will be available until the Friday 22/02/19.

There is an audition sign up sheet with all available audition time slots posted on the Music Room door. Students wishing to audition will need to sign up for a selected time on that sheet prior to their audition.

All students in Year 5 and 6 are welcome to audition regardless of skill level or what instrument they play. This includes students who don’t play an instrument yet.

During the audition you will need to:

• Play or sing a song you are comfortable with and you enjoy playing.
• Answer questions like, “Why would you like to join the Bayswater Rock Band?”
• For students who don’t yet play an instrument, Mr Shaw will teach you something simple on your desired instrument.
