Parking & Pedestrians

Guarded Crossings

We have two crossing attendants serving the needs of the school:

• one at the intersection of King William and Hill Street
• and another at the intersection of Whatley Crescent and Leake Street

They operate between 8am - 8:50am, and 2:30pm - 4pm.

Children are expected to use the crosswalks where applicable and parents are asked to reinforce this policy for safety reasons.

Pedestrian entry and exit from school

For safety and protection, the staff car park is a pedestrian free zone for both parents and students. Recommended entry and exit points to the school are by stairs and ramp from Leake Street and through the gate on Hill Street.

Parking

Parents are asked to take note of the road markings around the school. Parking bays are provided on Murray, Hill and Leake Streets.

Parents are not permitted to park in the staff car park.

Kiss and Drive

During peak times, parts of Leake Street (at the Murray Street end) are marked as "Kiss and Drive" and must not be used for short term parking. Parking around the school is regulated by the City of Bayswater. Please be aware of and adhere to any NO PARKING restrictions clearly displayed on the road verge. Council rangers are often active in the area.

Please be aware of the 40kph speed limit on Murray Street during school start and finish times.
